What Project Are You Working On Today?

Today I'm working on a crocheted scarf for a Christmas gift for a family member. The pattern is simple using single crochet and chains so I'll be posting that on the site later on with a pic of a completed scarf that I did earlier in the year.

I finished the scarves I was crocheting and today I'm working on a shawl with pockets to give to my sister as a gift. I am using my mom's old yarn that she had that is about 30 years old! LOL

I started another pocket shawl and while I enjoy the pattern I came up with, I think the length might be too short.

I'm working on creating a mermaid costume for my daughter's guinea pig for Halloween! It's turning out so cute.

Edited to add: Here it is! Can't wait to put it on the pig and see how it fits.

I found some really simple slipper patterns to crochet that I think I might tackle today. My dad is supposed to mail out more yarn he found that belonged to my mom and I'm excited to receive it so I can make more projects.

Researching at the moment, thinking of getting something like a Silhouette so I can make and cut designs out of something thicker than a Cricut can work with. It's just that the software requires Windoze 8 and all my production machines are Windoze 7. I've got a laptop with all sorts of issues that runs Windoze10, maybe I'll beef it up a little so it will work. Then I just need to figure a good way to cut 3/4" thick wood into slices 3/32" thick. This could end up running to quite a chunk of cash, if I buy a Silhouette and a planer.

Nothing much these days.

I tried to make couple of necklaces for my BJD dolls and they are not good enough. I will have to get more beads and stones and this time, hopefully I will be able to make them accurately.
I will try to post some pictures later to get some feedback.

My fingers are sore from knitting and I'm not even halfway done with my project. It's a pouch bag and the pattern is from an old craft magazine. Knitting takes forever so I think once I'm done I'm going to figure out how to make a similar bag with crochet because it will take far less time to finish the bag.

Trying to figure out if I can work wood using my engineer's lathe, and whether I can get a duplicator attachment for it. The next step is to figure out if I can make chess pieces. Making a really nice chess board should be easy enough but without pieces it's only so much use. Perhaps an intermediate step would be to make pieces for checkers.

I hope you decide to make a chess set. That would be amazing if you could do it differently than other wood ones out there.
