Did you ever attempt this craft? I think it's a great way to upcycle leather boots. You can buy those quite cheap at resale shops as well.
How is the stitching when working with a harder material such as leather?

No, I didn't try this one yet. I don't have the tools needed to work with the leather. I'll probably have to ask for those at Christmas!
