Pumpkin bird feeder

What better use for our pumpkins than to create a feeder out of them! I didn’t put dowels crosswise on mine the other year. I just figured they’d use the rim of the pumpkin lol I would personally use small sticks to make it look more natural. We live in the woods, there’s an abundance of sticks here!
You may find that squirrels will try to eat the pumpkin itself. More they eat, less waste, right?

Don't they degreed/get smushy over time though?

I prefer to keep rice or corns for birds instead of letting them waste the entire pumpkin bu using it as a bird feeder.

That's a cool idea. It's would be a good idea for repurposing a pumpkin and I think it would be easy to do.
