This is a review of the instructions found here to make pillowcase dresses.
https://sewlikemymom.com/easiest-pillowcase-dress-ever/

The instructions do not use an actual pillowcase but I used one for my own sample since I have many pillowcases to be used for this purpose. If you want to purchase new fabric and don't want to use bias tape then this is the perfect pattern to show you how to make a pillowcase dress. There is a nice size chart with measurements that comes in very handy.

Here is my sample:

The changes I had to make since I used a real pillowcase was that after cutting the top of the pillowcase off to make it shorter, I then used a seam ripper to open up the sides. I went down about 6 inches but probably should have gone down to 7 inches or 7 1/2 inches. Then I made a fold toward the wrong side and another fold so that I could sew the seam (and once it got closer to the armpit it was not wide at all). I didn't sew just yet...

After pinning the sides I went to the top to fold down and fold down again for the casing like the instructions said. Then I sewed that first before finishing by sewing the sides.

The rest of the instructions were the same.

Did it turn out like the photo from the website? Yes, it looks like the photo on the website even though I used a real pillowcase and a lace ribbon.
What did I like about the pattern? I liked that I didn't have to make or buy bias tape like other patterns required.
Would I recommend it to others? Yes! This pattern is the simplest one I've come across for making pillowcase dresses and as long as you know how to use a sewing machine you can make these with no problems.
Cost of pattern: Free
Cost to make project: Free for me since I had all the supplies.

Have you been able to make more? I think these would be cute for selling at a craft show or giving as gifts. Especially when girls can get quite dirty just as easily as boys can lol I know I went through clothes fast as a kid :)
