Painting technique, Pointillism

This is a painting technique in which small, distinct dots are applied in patterns to form an image. Developed in 1886 by Georges Seurat & Paul Signac, from Impressionism. Anybody try it out? It looks tedious but the outcome is nice.

I used to love doing pointillism when I was in high school. I think what I loved the most was all the noise you got to make LOL There is a famous Seurat painting at the Art Institute in Chicago and big crowds would gather around it.
