My niece is a scientist and I always hear her talk about neurons so I developed this quick neuron cross stitch pattern and turned it into an ornament. I added orange french knots in the middle of the yellow sections. I also must note that I changed the pattern as I went a little bit and maybe it's because I made a mistake and couldn't get out of it? LOL Or it could be that I wanted to add more weight to the image on the right side?

That is definitely unique! Can also do some for DNA molecules, atoms, white & red blood cells. Be great gifts for doctors as well.

There are some apps out there that are easy to create designs for cross stitch. I just use regular old graph paper and colored pencils.
