Make your own pillowcase yarn

My husband wasn't ready to part with any t-shirts for me to make t-shirt yarn and I have plenty of pillowcases so I was thrilled to find a video on how to make yarn out of pillowcases! It's easier than you think. The only thing I don't know is how much I'll need for the projects I want to make and I don't have many matching ones so this could turn out to be a real challenge later.

I like this along with the t-shirt yarn. Pillowcases can be a dime a dozen at garage sales. I like getting extras when I have the chance as we have cats & the pillows they sit on tend to get dirty or, well, get coughed on :D
Do people find this type of "yarn" a bit different to work with than the t-shirt yarn? Some pillowcases, while cotton, have a different texture to them.

When I was crocheting rag rugs using sheets, I found that not all sheets are the same. The really stiff ones were so hard on my fingers and then there were some that were too stretchy. I think I'm just too picky :D
