Re: What Project Are You Working On Today?

I'm working on sewing market tote bags for the grocery store. My dad gave me a LOT of curtains and top bed sheets that no one uses so the sheets will be the insider liners and the curtains will be the outside and handles. The pattern I found makes a decent size bag and I have enough free fabric to m...

Reusable Shopping Bag Review

I am seeing more and more areas banning plastic bags so I thought I'd get a jump on making market tote bags. I wanted the ones that could be put into the washing machine so this pattern worked out well. I recently acquired a LOT of curtains and the fabric is perfect for making these. It took me 2 ho...

Re: Alternatives to Jesmonite

I wonder if Jesmonite is just easier to work with & that's why some people prefer to use it over cement, plaster, resin. We've used cement before & it does set quite fast. Sometimes too fast for some people. I'm not sure! I know my daughter enjoys working with it and not too many people know about ...

Flannel Tote Bags - Sew

I found two patterns for sewing flannel tote bags. I acquired more flannel sheets and want to try to make flannel shopping bags out of them. We'll see how it goes! Here is one version: https://www.joann.com/flannel-totes-three-ways/27810884P95.html and here's one on video: https://www.youtube.com/wa...

Re: Sew Roman Shades

I'm a little afraid to tackle it but excited if it really works out well!! My dad is bringing some curtains he had stored away and I can use that fabric to try these out so I don't have to spend a lot of money except on the little parts that all together isn't a lot.

Alternatives to Jesmonite

My daughter uses Jesmonite to do her crafts for selling and it's very expensive. This is not my daughter in the video and my daughter won't change to another product, but it might help others who don't want to deal with the Jesmonite expense.

Yarn Birds

These little birds are really adorable and something I would have made for my mom if I had known how to make these as a little girl.

Origami Paper Parakeet

My mom loved birds and we had parakeets and cockatiels while I was growing up. I saw this video to make a paper parakeet and it's something I would have loved to have made to surprise my mom for Mother's Day or her birthday:

Mother's Day Gift Ideas

I looked for some really different gift ideas for Mother's Day and came across this video. There are some unique ideas besides the same old flowers and cards:
