Recycling Laptop

My 5 year old laptop has recently died and I could not think of any ways to recycle the laptop. I have taken out the hard disk and the RAM so that I can reuse it for other purpose. But apart from that I can't think of any other recycle use for the laptop. But hopefully some YouTube videos and few other things can give me an idea.

Have you ever recycled or done anything DIY with the laptop?

Even a five-year-old laptop can be sold through the likes of Gumtree, eBay, or another similar online marketplace. This way, you are not directly impacting the environment by throwing your laptop away in the trash. As you mentioned, you could potentially take the machine apart and use it for parts - it's whatever works best.

We have an electronics recycle & refurbisher locally that takes all electronics, including appliances, DVDs/CDs for a small fee. They recycle what they can but also creates jobs.
