I had been searching for weeks for a hooded cowl that I could easily crochet in a day and I didn't like any of the styles available. I also didn't want to have to pay for something I could create myself...so I designed this cowl in an afternoon and it's easy enough to stitch in a day using super bulky yarn.
I used Barcelona Roving Yarn – 223 yards, 8.4 oz. Chewy Cable Wrap in Mustard color, Size 6 Super Bulky
Size J Crochet Hook, scissors, tapestry needle that fits the yarn

NOTES: Always maintain 70 stitches even if that goes against the normal methods of crochet. No matter the stitch, always start in the first stitch (that is the stitch to JOIN at the end).
When Joining, use BOTH loops! Then pay attention to what the pattern says for either using Back Loops Only or Both Loops.
This piece is written for American style crochet. Stitches and methods used: chain (ch), Back Loops Only, single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), triple crochet which is also called treble crochet (tc), join, bind off, weave in ends.
